Heavy rainfall and strong winds marked the October weather in the Faroe Islands, which resulted in an average of 67.8 per cent all time high share of renewable energy in total energy. Hydro power amounted to 44.5 per cent, while wind power reached an all time high at 23.3 per cent. In comparison, October 2017 saw an awerage of 64 per cent share of sustainable energy in total energy, and in 2016 the number was 46 per cent.
