Minesto activities in Vestmannasund

Currently, friction measurements are being carried out as part of preparations for the installation.

The vessel C Fenna transports the equipment from the Orkneys to the Faroes. On this first trip, some of the necessary equipment has been brought to Vestmanna, and on the second trip next week, the actual foundation will be transported to the site. Weather permitting, the foundation will be installed in the course of next week.

When necessary, equipment is brought to Vestmanna port and discharged within a restricted area that has been set up for this purpose. The crew and engineers of the C Fenna will not leave the assigned work area, and no one is allowed to enter the restricted area.
