Clearing lines and poles in the mountains

Normally, we prefer windy and wet weather as it is needed for sustainable energy production. However, calm, cold and dry weather conditions are perfect for maintenance work in the mountains.

Yet another stretch of transmission lines, which was installed in the late 1950’ies, has been replaced by cable in the ground and consequently, lines and poles had to be removed.

The area is remote and somewhat rough, but with the help of Atlantic Airways Helicopters we were able to clear the area and leave it in good condition for the sheep.
